Confirmed Case Policy

  • COVID-19 Policy: Confirmed Cases (anyone that is a confirmed positive or
    exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 are prohibited from attending)
    1. If you are a close contact as defined by the PA Dept. of Health you will need to quarantine for 10 days after your last exposure to an infected person or a seven-day quarantine with a negative test on or after Day 5 of quarantine.
    2. If you have symptoms, self-isolate in your home until each of the following conditions are met:
      • It has been at least ten days since your symptoms first appeared
        AND It has been at least one day since you have not had a fever (without using fever-reducing medications) and your respiratory symptoms are
        improving
    3. If you do not develop symptoms, self-isolate in your home until it has been at least 10 days since the day your test specimen was collected.

COVID Guidelines and protocols

*As of June 28th, 2021, PA lifted the universal order requiring face coverings. The PA Dept. of
Health continues to urge individuals to follow CDC guidelines on masking, social distancing, and hygiene practices.

The below listed measures will be in place for the operation of the Lititz Summer Showcase in order to ensure a safe return to play for teams, spectators, and staff. Please make sure you are familiar with these guidelines and understand the need for strict adherence to them.

Spectator Guideline

  • Anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 is prohibited from attending.
  • We request that 2 spectators attend per player
  • Spectators will be required to stay on the side of the field across from the team bench area.
  • Spectators are encouraged to maintain proper social distancing when at field venues.
  • Everyone is encouraged to bring their own personal sanitizer and PPE.
  • Will follow general hygiene, distancing and masking policies/guidelines.

Players and Coaches:

  • Anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 is prohibited from attending.
  • Players are to adhere to social distancing rules when not playing in the game.
  • The sharing of water bottles, food, etc. is prohibited.
  • Players and coaches are encouraged to bring their own personal sanitizer and PPE.
  • Players and Coaches are required to complete the COVID waiver

Event Staff:

  • Anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 are required to stay home.
  • All event staff will be required to submit a Covid waiver
  • All staff will be checked for symptoms prior to each tournament day
  •  Will follow general hygiene, distancing and masking policies/guidelines.

Referees:

  • Anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 are required to stay home.
  • All officials will be required to submit a Covid waiver
  • Officials will not have to check passes or rosters prior to games. Coaches and Managers must have and provide the documents upon request.
  • Will follow general hygiene, distancing and masking policies/guidelines.

Tournament Game day procedures:

  • Teams are not to enter the field area until the previous games’ teams have departed.
  • There will be adequate warm-up space for teams, away from their game field, to prepare without being near the game that is in progress.
  • Games have been spaced further apart in start times than normal.
  • There will be no post game handshakes or fist bumps.
  • No spitting will be allowed
  • Coaches will retain player passes, they will not be checked by officials prior to the match but must be available upon request.
  • Team benches will not be provided by the tournament. Teams should bring their own should they want one.
  • There will be no award ceremonies or medal presentations for the tournament winners and finalists. All medals will be packaged and provided to the coaches/managers after the last
    game.
  • No “team tents” are allowed. “Team Tents” refers to a tent, or group of tents, that parents put up together to have a social gathering. At no place, at any facility, should there be a “team
    tent”. Teams are permitted to have a tent over their individual bench for the players during the
    match.

Waivers

All coaches, players, and team managers are required to fill out and sign the Lititz Summer Showcase 2021 COVID-19 Statement & Waiver Form. This must be done as part of the team on-line check-in process prior to the event. Any individual coach, player, or team manager that has not submitted this form in the on-line check-in process will not be allowed to participate.

Safety Provisions:

  • There will be increased sanitizing of rest rooms, porta johns, common areas, etc. This will take place throughout the event.
  • Wash basin sinks with soap, and/or hand sanitizing stations, will be provided where feasible.
  • Where possible, venues will have parking areas divided into zones based on field locales. Players and spectators are to use the parking zone assigned to their fields.

Mask Wearing

As of June 28th, 2021 Pennsylvania has lifted its mandatory universal masking order.
Masking and social distancing guidelines are encouraged.

Out of state travel

Pennsylvania is no longer requiring that people who are traveling to Pennsylvania from another state, as well as Pennsylvania residents who are returning home from out of state, to test negative for the virus within 72 hours prior to arrival or quarantine strictly due to the travel. If you are exhibiting symptoms or were a close contact of a confirmed case you are encouraged to get tested for the virus.
