COVID-19 Statement

Updated: 6/19/2020

The LSS committee regrets to announce that, after careful consideration, we have decided to cancel the 2020 Summer Showcase because of the COVID-19 situation.

We have been working diligently to create guidelines, protocols, and a plan to safely bring teams from numerous states to beautiful Lititz, PA.  Unfortunately, because of the current status of the COVID-19 situation, a singularly unusual situation outside of our ability to control, we have made a judgment that holding the tournament this year is not feasible or responsible.  Lancaster County, PA, where the tournament is held, is still currently in the yellow phase under the PA guidelines.  This means that youth sports are effectively still prohibited.  While we are hopeful that we will progress to the green phase soon, full contact competition may still not be authorized by state authorities and EPYSA in time for the tournament.  Additionally, our primary concern is the safety of our players and parents, and we take this responsibility seriously.  Considering the totality of the circumstances, we reluctantlymade a judgment that canceling the 2020 LSS is the correct call.

For any team registered and/or paid, you will be refunded in full.  Most fees have not been processed as we have advertised.  However, if you have any financial questions or concerns, please contact us.

The LSS prides itself on our ability to deliver to the individual needs of each team.  We work hard to create a fun, competitive, and vacation experience for all of our families.  The support and loyalty of our attendees is important to us and we would like to thank you all.

We will be back better than ever in the summer of 2021.  The tournament dates will be July 24 and 25, 2021.  I hope to see you all next summer and on the soccer fields soon!

Wendell Hannaford, Tournament Director
